Will I be in pain after surgery?
Will I be in pain after surgery?

Again, it depends on what type of rhinoplasty surgery you need, but you shouldn’t experience much pain for a prolonged period of time.
Gauze wicks are placed in your nose after surgery and must remain in your nostrils for a day, which can cause slight discomfort, but once they are removed,
you shouldn’t experience high levels of discomfort. If necessary, Doctor can prescribe pain medication.

Are there major risks associated with Rhinoplasty?
Are there major risks associated with rhinoplasty?

Serious risks associated with rhinoplasty are extremely rare.
Many people experience nasal drainage a few days following the surgery, and it is normal if some of the drainage is “blood tinged.” It is advised you do not work or attend school for at least one week after the surgery to ensure you heal properly.

Should I look at “before” and “after” pictures?

“Before” and “after” pictures help show the difference rhinoplasty can make in individuals, but you shouldn’t base your decision solely on these pictures.
You should also discuss what your plastic surgeon can do for your specific situation.

Can you make my nose look like the one in this photo ?
Can you make my nose look like the one in this photo ?

Photos help your doctor to understand what it is you like and don’t like, both about the nose you have and the way you would like your nose to look in the future. So the Images can help discuss and comment about the surgery. However, a rhinoplasty surgeon cannot place someone else’s nose on your face. The surgeon can only make specific and limited changes on your nose. A good and experienced surgeon:concentrates on your desired results, evaluates the changes that can be done, evaluates the changes that cannot be done, explains his recommendations based on his knowledge and experience. This discussion should lead to an agreement of you and your surgeon’s realistic expectations from the surgery. At this stage, if the recommendations and experiences that your doctor has talked to you about is reasonable to you, ask him to show you the before and after images of his patients, so that you can evaluate his work. However, if you feel your doctor doesn’t understand what you say and doesn’t listen to you, it’s time to look for a consultation with another doctor. Selecting an experienced and qualified surgeon is considered one of the stages of your procedure. “Listening to the patient” is one of the key factors to have a successful and satisfactory surgery.

I have a thick skin nose. I have visited two doctors, but both have disappointed me. I want to know whether surgery is an option for a thick skin nose.
I have a thick skin nose and visited two doctors but they disappointed me

If a thick skin nose has sufficient amount of cartilage and bone, it will improve with surgery. But there is less chance of improvement if the amount of cartilage and bone are not enough. It is better to be examined in person for a thorough examination.

Hi. I want to know if it’s possible to have rhinoplasty for a bulky nose (thick skin nose) with local anesthesia, because I’m scared of general anesthesia.
is it possible to have rhinoplasty for a bulky nose with local anesthesia

Since changes made in rhinoplasty may need alterations to the bone structure, the patient should preferably be under general anesthesia.   Thanks for your contact.
